Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport Taxis - Fares, Distances and Where to Find Them

After arriving at Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), please remember to collect your entire luggage before proceeding to your chosen means of transfer from the airport to your destination. Available options of transfer include rental cars, public transport buses and taxis.

Taxis at Detroit Metro Airport

Two taxi companies provide their services at the airport: Metro Cars and Metro Cab. Taxi cabs can be either requested in advance or on-demand upon arrival at the airport.

Handicap accessible vehicles are available, but have to be requested.

To make a reservation for a taxi cab either call the company of choice on the number listed below or visit to the companies’ kiosks located in each terminals’ Ground Transportation Center.

Downtown Detroit can be reached in approximately 30 minutes and will cost around $50 depending traffic and the exact location of the destination.

Taxis at McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport

The taxi rank at McNamara Terminal is located in the Ground Transportation Center located on Level 4. Follow the signs to Ground Transportation.

Taxis at North Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport

The taxi rank at North Terminal is located on the upper level of the Ground Transportation Center. Signage is showing the way from Baggage Claim.

Ride Shares at Detroit Metro Airport

Ride Share transfers are requested to the ride share company’s app. They may collect their customers from designated locations of the separate terminals.

  • McNamara Terminal – Level 4 of the McNamara Parking Garage/Ground Transportation Center.
  • North Terminal – Level 1 of the Big Blue Deck.

Both locations can be reached by crossing the Skybridge between the terminal of arrival and the Ground Transportation Center of the terminal and take an elevator or escalator down to the correct level.
